Empty Space, presented by Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), will be open to public on 2 October 2022 at 618 Shanghai Street, Mong Kok.
Curated and created by artist Vvzela Kook, Empty Space focuses on the keyword "Liquidity" which was inspired by Zygmunt Bauman's research on Post-modernity. Zygmunt described modernisation as a process of liquefaction, in which change is the only permanence.
During the exhibition period, exclusive some sessions of outreach programmes will be held exclusively for arts ambassadors.
Details of "Exclusive Sessions for AAiSS":
(1) NOT EMPTY City Sketches Workshop

In this workshop, the artist will share her research process on using drawing to do records in past works, introduce her usual drawing tools and how to use them. Finally, she will observe and perform croquis sketching in Mong Kok with fellow participants to fill the city's "emptiness". |
